Nicole's eyes sparkled with pleasure and excitement upon seeing her new pet. She named it Greenie and she gave Greenie a company instantly - a toy tortoise! I really wondered if that plastic toy has added more joy or torment to poor Greenie :)
Hi Contented mom, ha ha, Greenie has company, huh? Its always good to give young kids a pet...teaches them how to care for for animals, be it fish or tortoise.
Had a friend long ago, his daughter kept a tortoise for years from she 5 years old to her teens... Another had hamsters. One a rabbit.....and one...a Rhode Island chicken. She had it hatched from an egg....watching it...then kept it as a pet....that chicken followed her everywhere thinking she was the mother, ha ha.
