E stopped by the side table and pointed at the tissue box.

E " Mummy, this is an "O" and this one is a second "O""
Me " Wow, great job. How about this one here?"
E " This is M"
Me " This one here?"
E " this is D"
E" M-O-O-D" (pointing at the word and spelling it out)
E " Mummy, M-O-O-D is?"
Me " you pronounce it as Mood"
E " Mood is?"
Me "Mood is qing xu"

E " Moon is?"
Me " Moon is yue liang"

He seemed to have noted the subtle difference between the 2 words. The feeling was sensational, knowing that my little boy has learnt much and is interested in learning more by providing a similar sounding word though he may not be able to relate to the word "mood" at this point in time.
