This is one of Ethan's favourite books. I requested him to read to me and he was more than happy to do so.
He read " Mama shuo, Qing Qing, zhe bu shi la bi, zhe shi LIPSTICK! " (mummy says " qingqing, this is not a crayon, this is a lipstick")
Isn't Ethan just so cute? He knows how to substitute one word for another in the right context! It is such a privilege listening to his reading (or rather regurgitation from memory)!

Wow ... your Ethan knows how to read already?? I am impressed!!!!! How did you teach him??
Hi Contented Mom, ha ha, I guess only a mother might understand that 'language'.....
but its fun hearing kids learning to speak early years.
A friend's son here learned the wrong words, from his father.
The father one day knocked his shin against a chair and let loose a 4 letter word.
And his son picked it up.
We sure had a good laugh one day he banged his fingers playing with a toy hammer and he let go.
We laughed till our tears came out! A 2 year old! Ha ha. Lee.
He's a genius :-) I'm quite illiterate in Chinese.. wonder how am I going to teach my girl when I myself, am struggling like this haha...
Hi to all,
Thanks for praises. I truthfully believe that Ethan has just memorised the entire book instead. In fact, he has memorised many books. He can regurgigate without even looking at the book. Hence,on this note, I am not sure if he is actually reading :)
