Translator

I baked an orange sponge cake and added very little sugar in it so that my grandma who is diabetic, can have a small slice.

Me “ Rose, tell tai-ma that the cake is not sweet, she can have a small slice, if she wants to”

My little nosey was standing nearby and she was quick to assume her new role as a translator, as my grandma does not understand English.

Nic “ Auntie Rose, you must say - tai-ma, bu tian, ke yi che”

Rose got her tongue twisted while trying to imitate the sounds which do not make sense to her ears. :)
