Ethan has been bullying Nicole quite a fair bit lately. He likes to pull her hair and bite her toes. Nicole has been very tolerant and she has been reporting it to me diligently instead of taking it in her own hands.
Nicole painted a very beautiful piece of art work for me but Ethan snatched it away from her and in the process, tearing it into pieces. Upon seeing her masterpiece being destroyed, Nicole broke into tears instantly. In order to comfort her, I rewarded her with 2 pieces chocolates for her effort.
Me " Nicole, dont cry. Here is your reward. Ethan was a little cranky because he didnt have a good afternoon nap. I will remind him not to repeat his action"
Nic " What are you going to reward him with?"
Me " No rewards for him"
Nic " How about rewarding him with a cane? a super big cane?"
Me " oh no no no. I will first give him a warning"
I wonder if it was meant to be a joke or Nicole was serious about her remarks!

Poor Nicole... Its very difficult to handle such situations but being s mother of two should be able to... :) I don't think that she was joking about the cane... children at this age do say these things but not with vengeance but because of hurt...

oh ya, had a friend with two sets of twins long ago, only a year difference too, they sure had a handful let alone trying to make out who did what as all 4 identical...I could never tell them apart, but somehow the mother knows, ha ha.
