Nicole fainted!

Nicole was running a high fever last week, hitting 40.5 degrees for over 3 days and she actually passed out mementarily at the shopping mall. We frantically lifted her up and went looking for a medical clinic within the mall. Thankfully, she regained consciousness within a minute or so and we had her checked at the hospital the following day, ensuring that it was not triggered by any heart problems. 3 long nights for me but thank God, she is now up and running again. Thank God for her strong immune systems to fight the virul infection!

Was the weather hot that day?
seriously, I wouldn't take my kids out if they got fever. Cos' fever indicates that the body is fighting the virus/bacteria in the body... so energy should be saved as much as possible in order to win the battle...
by going out, the energy is directed to the legs and all other muscles, how to fight the battle leh?

but really, Thank God she is fine now.

over 39 degree celcius is considered very high already... Nicole must be really strong to go through high fever for 3 days. Did she get Pneumoccocal vacine?

If my girls got high fever, I guess I can go crazy checking their temperature every 5 mins.

Thank you all for your kind concerns.

We didnt know Nicole was running a fever when we went to the mall. Her body wasnt warm. She only complained about a tummyache at the mall so we just asked her to take a rest while we were settling the bills.

Gosh! I totally freaked out when Rose came to inform me that Nicole had fainted. The doc couldnt identify any major cause but just attributed it to general virul infection. Nicole was given paracetomol to bring the temperature down. I think the fever pads helped too. She used up almost 10 fever pads.

Nicole was given the Pneumoccocal vacination in Aust when she was still a bb.

Thanks again...I am so touched by your concerns :)

Yes, Indeed. I am very thankful for Nicole's speedy recovery. Now that she has fully recovered, she is back to her usual mischevious self - perpetually challenging my authority :)
